Hello & welcome! I'm glad you found my hiding place. I'm an artist, writer, and history lover living in Jacksonville, Florida. Lately I'm exploring a little, thinking a little, and playing a little. Here's where I share things I find along the way. Cheers!

Color Wordplay

September 27, 2014 in My Art

While searching online for tweed fabric today, I became totally distracted and amused by the color descriptions. My favorite was a dark grey titled "gargoyle". Clever! So it got me thinking—what would I name some of the colors I'm painting with? Since I needed to mix up some greens and blues, I played with a few words and this is what I came up with. It's really hard to stop here though. Give it a try and you'll know what I mean. I'm sure you have colors nearby—what do you see?
