Conquering Fears

Here's what you get when the desire for a cinnamon roll is greater than the fear of popping the Pillsbury can. Yes, I'll admit it, I'm a bumbling baker. And worse, I'm squeamish about the cardboard packaging marvel that gives us pastries on demand. Just the thought of that sudden burst of compressed power makes me close my eyes and turn away in terror. However—when I made it through this recently, I realized it was a great way to illustrate one of those universal truths I've been learning about. You already know this, I'm sure, but it never hurts to get a little reminder. When conquering fears, let the desire be bigger than the scary part. It's simple, but not always easy. Essentially though, this kind of thinking can help us get through some pretty tough stuff. And if the reward is sweet, maybe we'll forget all the drama that came before. You know what I mean. Whew! Drama drama drama.
